Education Committee

  • To work with the Training Sub-Committee and Examination Sub-Committee to develop course curriculum and examination questions.
  • To work closely with the Professional Development Committee of the Provisional Hong Kong Academy of Nursing to develop advanced nursing practices.
  • To be responsible to organizing respective conferences, scientific meetings, courses, seminars, workshops for various specialties.
  • To identify strategies to prepare for future professional development needs
  • To lead the CNE provider for the Council of College of Perioperative Nursing.

 

Training Sub-committee

  • To work closely with Examination Sub-committee for developing course curriculum for each specialty
  • To be responsible in organizing respective conferences, courses, seminars, workshops for various specialties
  • To ensure a defined course curriculum for each course & seminar conducted
  • To conduct and monitor course evaluation for room for improvement

 

Examination Sub-committee

  • To validate examination paper on courses and provide recommendations when appropriate
  • To approve examination/assessment to reflect achievement of learning objectives
  • To approve the marking scheme of questions
  • To endorse final grades and awards
  • To evaluate the marks given by the assessors are appropriate
  • To be the invigilators during the written examination session
  • To set up a retake system for students who fail the assessment
  • To set up an appeal system for students for disagreement of assessment

 


 

Accreditation Committee

  • To accredit the standards, training and examination of HKCPON
  • To set the accreditation criteria for vetting training provided by other professional organization
  • To endorse and accredit the speakers, training sites and training course including seminars, workshops and courses
  • Prepare accreditation from the Hong Kong Academy of Nursing

 

 


 

Membership Committee

  • To promote the types of applications membership for enrollment
  • To monitor the process in renewal of memberships
  • To attend members' needs and concerns to council members

 

Promotions & Public Relations Sub-committee

  • To identify opportunities to promote the specialized nursing care information to the community.
  • To conduct community program to promote HKCPON to the public.
  • To collaborate with other academic colleges under the HKAN or other professional bodies in promoting public relationship
  • To promote HKCPON through activities to the nurses in Hong Kong
